Janice Fendley, President and Managing Director
Janice is a skilled and practiced meeting planner with thirty-one years of experience in meeting, conference, special events and trade show management. She has considerable expertise in working with conferences, special events, incentive programs, government ministries, health care and the pharmaceutical industry. Janice is known for her confidence, comfort and expertise in event planning and management; while she never loses her friendly manner and calm voice. Over the years she has acquired the skills to take in stride the complexity of detail, the breadth of players, and the inevitable incidents of the day.
Janice earned her degree from the University of Toronto with a major in Psychology, which has helped immensely in her day-to-day undertakings. She earned her Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) designation in 2004 and was recertified in 2009 and 2014. She has served on the Board of Directors for Meeting Professionals International (MPI) and was nominated for MPI’s prestigious ‘Planner of the Year’ award.

Kelly has been employed with j. fendley consulting inc. since spring of 2013. Since joining the team at j.fendley consulting inc. she has quickly shown that she is a born natural for planning conferences and events.
Her seventeen years of experience in the hospitality industry helped Kelly hone three critical event management skills: the ability to work well under pressure, the ability to work as a member of a team, and the ability to maintain a high level of attention to details. Kelly quickly wins over her clients with her ‘go-to’ attitude and amazing smile. Give Kelly a task and she stays with it until it’s done. She is truly a people person.
Kelly received her Bachelor’s degree in General Studies from Brock University and Diploma in Early Childhood Education from Sheridan College, which have both helped her with the patience and understanding required to work with clients, committees and suppliers.

Gord comes from four generations of family business in the flower industry.
Beginning at the operations level, Gord learned the requisite business skills to move from a small 'mom & pop' retail outlet to general manager of a multi-store enterprise. Strong management, marketing and people skills honed in this environment are now employed in his conference and events management.
A natural evolution from this background has led to a successful décor business that always wows the attendees.

DJ Burns, On-site Conference & Event Coordinator and Financial Management
DJ has over 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry. His extensive background starts with his vast culinary knowledge from being a trained chef at the CIA in Napa Valley and years working as a chef for a highly profiled corporate restaurant.
Upon moving out of the “back of house” DJ gained hands on experience in all aspects of the business managing private parties, weddings and banquets where he held the position of Food and Beverage Manager at one of Oakville’s most prestige’s private clubs.
DJ has a strong “anything that needs to get done” work ethic and displays a calm demeanor that helps any team look focused and stress free.
